To create these swatches I located digital pictures of people of various ethnicities. I then used The Gimp's eyedropper tool in multiple spots on their skin. I entered the hex value revealed by gimp into the STDIN of a little perl scrip I wrote to create the HTML of the following table. (the perl program can be found here) If you are not satisfied with any of these values you can take a picture of yourself, or someone that looks to have similar skin color and use a graphics editor eyedropper tool to get the hex code from that picture.
